Abstract

Modular silicon electromagnetic calorimeter is proposed for experiments at the UNK or other new collider and cosmic ray applications. Special calorimetric pad detectors of area 5★5 cm2, have been produced and tested as well as a prototype calorimetric module. The results of the testing are presented. The structure and design of a 10★10 cm2, 24 sensitive layer module is presented. New VLSI chips for silicon detector application are described.
